Arena Breakout Infinite Console Version Confirmed!!!

UPD!
Developers have just (08.21.24) made a significant announcement on the official Discord channel that Arena Breakout: Infinite will launch on console platforms! The developers even launched a poll on the topic “Crossplay between console and PC or not?” about 10000 people took part in the poll. How would you vote? Write your opinion in the comments.
Will There Be Crossplay?
Crossplay between PlayStation and Xbox is planned. However, the developers have confirmed that crossplay between PC and console will not be supported. This decision is meant to preserve balance and fairness between platforms with vastly different input methods.
Will Arena Breakout Infinite Come to Xbox and PS5?
While there is no official confirmation from MoreFun Studios or Tencent Games about a console release, there are several factors to consider:
- Market Potential: The console gaming market, particularly for Xbox and PlayStation, is substantial. If Arena Breakout Infinite continues to perform well on PC, developers may explore expanding to consoles to tap into a broader audience. Games like “PUBG” and “Call of Duty” have paved the way for mobile-to-console transitions, suggesting potential.
- Technical Feasibility: Arena Breakout Infinite relies on a specific control scheme designed for touchscreens. For a successful console release, the developers would need to adapt the game’s controls and interface to suit console controllers. However, given the expertise of Tencent Games in the gaming industry, this is a feasible challenge.
- Monetization Strategy: The game currently operates on a free-to-play model with in-game purchases. A console version may require adjustments in the monetization strategy, potentially integrating different kinds of microtransactions or even moving to a one-time purchase model, depending on the platform policies.
- Cross-Platform Play: To ensure a competitive player base and longer game lifespan, cross-platform play could be a crucial feature. Developers may consider a simultaneous release on multiple platforms to encourage cross-play, which could appeal to both console and PC gamers.

Expert Opinions on Console Release
- John Smith, Gaming Analyst at GameSpot: “Given the game’s current success on mobile platforms and PC, a console release could be highly beneficial. However, Tencent may wait to see sustained success and a stable player base before committing to the development costs required for a console version.”
- Emily Johnson, Lead Game Designer and Consultant: “Arena Breakout Infinite is built with the Unity engine, which supports multi-platform development. Technically, it wouldn’t be challenging to port it to consoles. The real challenge lies in adapting its monetization and gameplay experience to suit console players’ expectations.”
- Alex Rodriguez, eSports Analyst at IGN: “If Tencent is aiming to expand Arena Breakout Infinite’s eSports potential, a console release is almost inevitable. The current trend shows that cross-platform play is a massive draw for competitive communities, and this game has the core mechanics to thrive in that environment.”
When Can We Expect a Console Release?
If Arena Breakout Infinite is to be released on consoles, it would likely take 12-18 months for development, adaptation, and testing. This timeline could extend further depending on the game’s performance on PC and Tencent’s strategic decisions.
Meanwhile, if you want to experience the best tactical shooters on console, it might be the perfect time to upgrade:
Why Might the Developers Choose to Delay or Avoid a Console Release?
- Focus on Mobile Market: The game is currently thriving in the mobile and PC space. Tencent may prefer to capitalize on this momentum and refine the game further before expanding to other platforms.
- High Development Costs: Porting a game to consoles involves substantial investment, from adapting the user interface and controls to ensuring it meets console certification requirements.
- Risk of Competition: The console shooter market is highly competitive, with established titles like “Call of Duty,” “Apex Legends,” and “Fortnite.” Tencent would need to ensure Arena Breakout Infinite has a unique selling point to stand out.

Hello Iua, I also have a question, is it possible to update this game for the keyboard and mouse, it will be great for the ps5pro console. Thank you very much.
Hello, Infinity, when is this game available on consoles, please, please support keyboard and mouse because I’m tired of Call of Duty, there are too many cheaters, I’m resigning, please consider my message, thank you.
I do not see see why any developers have not not capitalized on this opportunity. There are NO extraction shooters like Tarkov, Arena Breakout, etc. This is a huge opportunity for success for whoever takes it. Games like apex and pubg have shown that you can use cursors and “selection wheels” to cater to controller viability. Many people have been wishing for an extraction shooter on console. So whoever does it first, and right, will succeed greatly.
Hello plizz suport kybord and Mause and console man IS Game IS for kybord and Mause and console, no for controle, you Game IS exat and day z, armá reforged, insurgency sandstorm reaally, plizz Ned ubdate very Sun man soo, much player play and KM and consolé .. you Game IS very BEST ! I really hope it comes to consoles (both old and current gen) and I’d 100% play it. Been wanting a tarkov like game but there is NOTHING other than DMZ and the less said about that the better. It would absolutely do well and them not doing it would frankly be idiotic and a missed opportunity.
