What the layers mean

Reading a loot map

High-tier loot marks the cases and crates that can hold the expensive items — few, fixed, and contested. Safes are the reliable valuables spawn and the reason keys exist: several sit inside locked rooms on Valley. Weapon boxes and medical loot are the kit you leave with when a raid goes badly; containers (jackets, drawers, document cases, computers) are the volume that fills a backpack.
