How Meta Score works
Meta Score is a weighted composite of four measures — sustained damage output (damage x RPM, weight 3), effective range (weight 2), recoil control with vertical counted double against horizontal (weight 3), and ergonomics (weight 2) — each scored against calibration bands set PER WEAPON CLASS. A sniper rifle is measured against sniper-rifle bands, not against submachine guns, because a single cross-class index ranks platforms by which stats the formula happened to weight rather than by how well they do their job. The bands are fixed, so adding a weapon never re-grades the others. Damage is not published per weapon — in this game it belongs to the round — so the caliber's median flesh damage from the ammo chart stands in for it. RPM, range, recoil and ergonomics are community-verified wiki values. It is a ranking aid produced by this site, not a value reported by the game.
